I found the legion to be little boys playing with guns trying to masquerade as adults. The most telling sign was when I went to see Caesar and they actually said to my character's face that women are only for making babies (my character is female). Yet they still think I'd be interested in...
Okay, a few points I wish to touch on.
The claim frequently made that discrimination is inherrantly immoral needs to go. Why? Allow me to demonstrate.
If I date someone, they must be female. If you're a male, I will not date you. Doesn't matter if we have everything in the world in...
"I'm special cause I play games nobody heard of"
Something I like to call rebel syndrome. Remember folks, anti-conformatism is just conformatism with a cheap coat of paint thrown over it.
I got through GoW 1 though the combat was actually starting to bore me near the end and Hades irked a A LOT. I got a bit through GoW 2 but when I hit the temple and and got deja vu, I packed it in.
Nice review except...
"I'm always the first to cry foul when developers wipe their dicks...
The Guru of Gripe doesn't like the game everyone else likes. Somebody call Ripley's...
Seriously folks, we're all gamers therefore we are all "that guy." Anyone who plays games and says they aren't is fooling no one but himself.
Funny this time and all around pretty true though I don't find shaking the controller tiresome though it can sometimes be unresponsive.
Camera? I've seen way worse but no camera is ever going to be perfect for the simple fact that the game can't read your mind to know exactly what you want...
But whatever the case, I quite dislike the argument that "it tried something new and therefore is good" because really, that's rubbish. Lots of games tried something new, the problem was they weren't very good ideas.
I seriously would rather play a game that sticks with what works than one...
All those irritations and yet he likes it anyway because "at least it's trying something new"?
Give me a break, Stretch Panic tried something new. Sure as hell didn't make it a good game.
Out of curiosity, how do you feel about those rare cases when Nintendo does use their usual character lineup but throws out the standard plot and goes with something different? (like that old Game Boy game, Link's Awakening)
I had trouble getting through God of War because Kratos is such a shallow, unlikable character and I still haven't finished God of War II because he's even even less likeable and the plot feels like they basically stole it from the first game.
Yeah, for me: No plot? No deal!
I'm not...
People are made up of stupids and non stupids. Nothing you put on any media is going to make someone change sides. Make a game about how great it would be if stupids became non-stupids, it won't happen.
Next question
Well yeah, of course it's no contest when you compare the worst of one group with the best of the other. That proves nothing.
Criticizing a genre of games for being repetitious is to be guilty of bias and selective memory. All games contain repetition in some form or another. Just because...
Fun review as always but "sellout because he's popular" always irks me. It just sounds like "Don't make stuff that's popular with the majority, make stuff that's good in MY book and who cares if the former tends to make more money than the latter" which sounds downright narcissistic. I mean, I...
