Agreed. Noir movies are all about character motivations; and a big part of this is linked to a character's personal life- Cole's was skipped over... The game ended and I still wasn't sure who Cole was.

The ending was unadulterated boll0cks. After all that hard work, ALL THE MAIN BAD GUYS GOT AWAY. I'm sure it's a very "noire" ending, but seriously- what's the point of playing if there's no way of wining. Games aren't always about winning... but had I known this game was about losing, then...
