I can't say I liked it much. First of all, the CG was just awful; it took me right out of it every time we saw an animal as they were so fake looking. Everyone was uniformly dirty, so combined with the overuse of shaky cam you couldn't tell who was who in many fight scenes.

To be fair, that's every decade. Also, if you look at the numbers it was proportionately much less than previously with the end of the cold war and its resulting proxy wars.
What I'm wondering is, have any of these gritty reboots of fairy tales actually seen any success? There's been a lot over the last few years, and it looks like classic Hollywood follow-the-leader, but I don't recall any leader to follow. It more seems like every studio exec simultaneously...
Huh, San Andreas again (or at leas Los Santos). Was never that interested in getting 4, world looked too small and too brown/grey. Was kinda hoping that they'd have one based in prohibition era Chicago, but I guess it would be hard to get a good sound track for that one.
