It's fun, but the beta made me not buy it. The reason being is they stuck two races that rely on numbers (Tyranids and Orks) into a game with the most crippling army limit I've ever seen.

Whats funny is the beta actually made me rethink buying the game. I've played for two days straight. It feels like a company of heroes match, with the occasional walker and some melee squads. And a LOT less buildings to hide in.

I really do like the strategy element of turn-based combat. You have to consider every move, and the endless scenarios it COULD spawn. Not to mention when the game decides to throw in mid-battle events. Fuck you Selvaria. And screw Zodiac Monsters too.

It really is a fantastic game. Two complaints however. A. The games last RETARDEDLY long times. Like, 10+ hours on the bigger maps. This CAN be fun however if you start in the morning. B. A lot of the units feel, really, really similar. Would you like the Faction 1's Hanger Bay Defense or...

I was playing a PS1 game, Valkyrie Profile, and used a Soul-Crush attack (Ultimate Attack pretty much). The character yells "For the crimes you have commited, THIS IS YOUR PUNISHMENT!" Then the blocks power went out for an hour. I guess the character technically killed the entire game.
