I have no problems with lyrical music. A voice is, after all, just another instrument that can either lift up, or completely ruin, a song. That being said, I love instrumental tracks, mostly owing to the fact that real lyrics weren't present in video games until the N64/Playstation era. Well...

It seems to depend on which style of RPG you prefer. Western flavor tends towards sandbox setups and "other genre with RPG elements," where JRPGs fall more on the linear side. Open-ended (but sometimes shallow) story choices vs. tried-and-true (but not always rehashed to death) cinematic runs...

Not quite as severe as some of the examples here, but Dungeon Siege is a bit sparse with its auto-saves. I've lost 60-90 minutes on a few occasions to my own forgetfulness.

I'm nether terribly surprised or appalled by this, really. It seems that this ultimately comes off as a "Yes, it's time consuming, but it will net more profits for the both of us" situation. However... I can see this happening.

I used to have bad moments of controller shot-put back when I was far more immature, during the PSX days. I try to do more seething than raging, hopefully setting the game down for a few hours/days/whatever before I try to do more than growl or shout in frustration.
