Literally walked into a Gamestop today - first time in years. There were, I believe, 5 PC games, and the 2 steam cards. If that's the best they can do, they deserve to die sooner rather than later.

I'll agree on Sanitarium being dark, disturbing, and wonderful.

The problem with yay/nay is that the mediocre can get a really high rating. Urbanspoon does this, and we keep wishing for a more nuanced scale (even just a yay/meh/nay). Went to an italian restaurant the other day with a 95% on Urbanspoon. It was...fine. Not great, not good. Fine...

All I have to say is, Thank God season 2 of Misfits just aired. I haven't seen writing this On The Nose in a while.

I'm with the crowd - if the game's good, a beta/demo builds buzz. If it sucks, well yes, it hurts sales. I rarely buy games without a demo. No demo, I want multiple reviews and preferably some friends to try it. Don't like that? RELEASE A GD DEMO.

But what about NWN2, which was published with Bioware's assistance? Same with KOTOR2.

Yay! Thanks, Shamus. I've actually held off buying it because of the horror stories... and I feared this was going to happen, given Obsidian's track record. Maybe in a few months they'll actually finish the game, and I can it. But I'll go play some other games until then.

Yup. Love them, have bought their games, but as a PC owner I wish them poorly on this. Guess if they wind up selling hotdogs, they can go ask Uncle Bill or Uncle Steve for more money, then?
