The film is still way better then the book. Even the author of the book thinks the book is crap compared to the film. The Da-Vinci code book is easy-to-digest. At least Tom Hanks gave some personality to a character that had none in the novel.

Romero didn't think of them as Zombies because back then the only "zombies" were the ones enslaved by Voodoo curses. He called them Ghouls. The zombie name came later. It's hard to run when you have rigor mortis and are decomposing. I thought Revenant was just an old word for a ghost.
