yeah. lately i HAVE been noticing this trend.
games of last generation would have insane levels of customization, hidden collectibles, and just, well, stuff that you could do (example: Perfect Dark)
it seems as time goes on they're stripping out more and more features just so the pores on...
into obscurity.
because the public prefers action games and games with weak protagonists who can't gun down a whole room with their fists and live to tell the tale don't stand much of a chance in today's gaming industry.
they're probably still out there, but they're now just a very small...
the gaming industry is approaching the film industry in a way i didn't think possible.
critics are having less effect on the sales of a game. this was basically a Transformers 2 demonstration of the beginning of this effect.
just you wait. it will only get worse.
