    Your Preferred Screen Capture Method

I've recently had some experience with video editing, so I decided to combine that with gaming and make a little compilation of some moments I played in League of Legends. I used the LoL spectator client to save gameplay footage, then recorded that playback with Fraps, and tried to edit it using...

Thoughts and Advice on Starting a TF2 Highlander Team?

I love Team Fortress 2. Spent a ton of time playing it this summer with a few guys and I still think it's one of the best designed multiplayer shooters out there. But everyone who really enjoys it and wants to improve their game gets tired of just playing on public servers all the time. Which is...

Your Best Self- Imposed Challenges in Gaming

Haven't played DM, but isn't kicking crazy useful? Like, it requires no point investment, has no cooldown, and the levels are chock full of spiky instant death walls and bottomless pits? Because that sounds like Looney Tunes made an efficient combat strategy.

Your Best Self- Imposed Challenges in Gaming

At least you can light people on fire with burning barrels in Invisible War. Efficient AND hilarious. "AAAAAH, I'M COOKED!!11!1" Best voice acting in that game.

Your Best Self- Imposed Challenges in Gaming

That reminds me of my "rebellion" against everything and everyone that annoyed me in Skyrim. The thieves' guild questline is so littered with plot holes that you can almost get distracted from the terrible game design. But not quite. After finishing it, I killed my way out of Riften (or...

Your Best Self- Imposed Challenges in Gaming

I have to ask, what kind of crazy sequence breaking did you do to pull off New Vegas that quickly? Must have been a pretty stark ending you got...

Your Best Self- Imposed Challenges in Gaming

Unlocking achievements can be satisfying, but some of the most amazing feats I've seen are when gamers decide to put some twist on the game's mechanics to give it some more challenge and entertainment value. Speedruns are probably the classic example, but I find those really nerve wracking and...

    TF2 players, what's your loadout?

P I share the sentiment on Pyros. Although I feel a twinge of rage every time I screw up my Axtinguisher timing. Which is semi- often. I, on the other hand, enjoy some sniping, cheap as it may be. Using the Machina, Jarate, and Bushwhacka. And despite my eternal status as a pitiful...

Analogue: a Hate Story: The Unironically Impressive dating sim

Well, it's possible fairly early. Is it not necessary for completion?

Analogue: a Hate Story: The Unironically Impressive dating sim

In addition to that, the game offers *Mute, a character programmed to believe in more "traditional" gender roles. She, like her more progressive counterpart, has her own character flaws, but gives solid reasons for her beliefs that hold up well in the context of the narrative. And you can agree...

Analogue: a Hate Story: The Unironically Impressive dating sim

Glad to hear you might get to it, and now I'm wondering what other VNs were you getting to first?

Analogue: a Hate Story: The Unironically Impressive dating sim

It turns out much more interesting than you might think in that regard. A lot of it is an indictment of past Korean treatment of women as babymakers and trophies. "Traditional marriage" is quite frowned upon by the character pictured above, and that's an opinion you can choose to share.

Analogue: a Hate Story: The Unironically Impressive dating sim

I was never one to bash dating sims (or visual novels, I have difficulty drawing a line in unfamiliar territory), but I didn't see them as artistically motivated. Porn has a place in media, but the whole visual novel style was just flooded with cheap hentai junk to be worth paying attention too...

Praise a game you don't like

Invisible War made Human Revolution feel a lot more gratifying. The original Resident Evil had a really great Rifftrax. Then again, maybe that was the dub.

    Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Appeal

I like the Mass Effect series, and Mass Effect 3 is no exception. The ending is a flaming trainwreck, but I still enjoyed the game up to that point. Much like Mass Effect 2 in that sense. I'm a bit on the fence about the multiplayer, though. The combat mechanics are pretty enjoyable, and I'm...
