I'm pretty sure standards went out the window awhile ago. I think the industry doesn't pick up on it because it knows, when one of their true gamers picks up the game whether it be because they are a fan or a joke, they will probably get their asses kicked and then the industry will lose a few...

Secret of Mana.

Blaster was definitely my favorite. (Him vs. Soundwave was always cool.) Perceptor was great because he was kind of nerdy too. And Jazz from the original movie was awesome (not live action ghettofied Jazz)

I've played and beaten GoW 1 and 2 and while the games are fun and everything, the games were still very linear and rather simple. Albeit, the graphics were pretty kick ass at the time, the boss fights were cool, quick time events are pretty cool too, and I can see why people liked both games...

Meh, I'm more inclined towards the "Take care of yo junk" thought. I say, if you really want it, buy it again, and realize you spent money on it twice due to lack of care. Then again, what am I saying, I beat the crap out of Halo 3 disc and then just stole my friends copy when I moved.

Pretty sure its not just engineering these days, my school didn't have an engineering department and more than half my freshmen dorm (one of the largest freshmen dorms in the country) were playing guitar hero and smash brothers. and the koreans kids were playing DotA... not a racist thing...

See, you gotta be more specific. So we're talking Mario 64 in RE. I'm pretty sure the SMB3 Racoon Mario probably wouldn't make much headway against zombies either.
