I really love E3, there's just something about seeing a spectacular trailer for a game that you just were not expecting or watching a conferance live and seeing Gabe Newal walk out onto the Sony stage and anounce portal. Moments like that are just exciting and sure it makes me a gullable...
I personaly don't narative or setting can stop a game from being good (of course they can make a good game better) as for me a game has to first and foremost play well and be enjoyable on that front. Great gameplay could negate a horrible narrative but not vice versa, if school shooter played...
There are some programmes that allow people to creat games with little to no knoweledge of programming (such as the Blender Game engine and it's logic bricks) however most of these sytems are very limited and it can be very hard to create something decent.
I acept the point that Movie Bob makes but I disagrees on the point where we all start to use separate devices, I see a future with one device that does everything. ALso in my opinion what makes PC gaming PC ga,ming is the keyboard and mouse and the modding comunities that build up around PC...
I personaly agree with Yahtzee's point about a nueral interface that could allow you to control the main character as if it were your own body without the physical exertion. In this sort environment you could produce far more FTW moments as you perform some insane feats that you wouldn't atempt...
