Not really. You just have to be there for her as she goes through it. Listen to her, be compassionate and remember it is a very difficult time for people when they lose a family pet, they are a family member to them. Best of luck, and sorry for your girlfriend and her family.

Actually, it's a cover of Nine Inch Nails "hurt". It was on NIN's "The Downward Spiral, released in 1994. Johnny covered it in 2002 on "American IV: The Man Comes Around". I will say that both versions bring me to tears.
