    Hey, I remember playing a PC game where you play as this black round-ish hovering pod/tank thing with glowing jet engines (I think?), and I could pick up different items around the maps and stuff... including yellow rockets. Also, 90% top-down view, sort of like Diablo (it's not a RPG, though)...
