    Hi Georg, that sounds like Master of Orion (the first in the franchise) to me. Not sure about crashing ships into the planets though, I never did that when I played it.

Thanks! :) I have memories of a completely different palette but it's definetly the same game. Maybe the machine I played on in that bar had badly bakanced...
