Even in the books, I find Spartans to be incredibly boring characters. They can do some cool stuff but they're boring people, because they ironically have no real involvement with the central conflict of the series. Spartan IIs are raised from birth to be instinctive killers who follow orders...

1. At least from the OP, there doesn't seem to really be a point... I see "Halo + ME crossover", but nothing really beyond that. Stories need more than a premise to be successful, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
