Did anybody see the Japanese arcade localization of Half Life 2? It added some wacky stuff. I wonder if SE got any creative freedom from Activision here.

Yeah so? When you are able to get back online you'll get those updates. I don't see any problem with Steam.

I like Steam, and you can play your single-player games on Steam without being connected to the net, in offline mode. I make a point to only buy games from Steam (if they have online DRM).

I didn't think serious gamers played FIFA and all that crap. I thought it was just something moms buy for their 15 year olds.

OnLive is completely unproven. I think we can look forward to at least another generation of standard consoles (as we have come to expect them). It will probably come in about five years or so. After that, who knows. It's too early to tell.

That's cute, but if you're going through all the trouble of soldering and building a cabinet you might as well go for a full MAME setup.
