    360 Gamers, HELP!

I agree. I'm planning on getting Limbo, 'cause I've played the demo at a friend's and loved it.

    360 Gamers, HELP!

Okay, I like what you wrote, and this line in particular was good, and don't get me wrong, I've played Halo and Gears of War and CoD at friends' houses before and had fun. It's not that I don't enjoy games like that, but it's a matter of preference. Give me Halo Reach or Half-Life 1 and tell me...

    360 Gamers, HELP!

The reason behind that is because I like more sophisticated shooters, like the Half-Life games.

    360 Gamers, HELP!

I'm fine with bloody shooters, and I've played Gears before. It's not bad. What I meant was no horror games that only rely on gore. If I play a horror game, it needs to be more psychological than viceral.

    360 Gamers, HELP!

Haha, true. I'm into a variety of things. Shooters, RPGs, platformers, and some horror games, as long as it's subtle and not just gooey blood baths.

    360 Gamers, HELP!

So, for Christmas, I got a 360 for Christmas, and need some recommendations. So far, I have the Orange Box, and on the way are Mass Effect 1 & 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, Assassin's Creed 1, Oblivion, and Tales of Vesperia. Because I'm new to the 360, (and don't have a PS3, Wii, or noteworthy...

    "Old" Games

This is something that's been bothering me recently: Gamers in general seem all to willing to dismiss games as being "too old". Now, I'm not a self-righteous retro-gamer who looks down on everything made since the year 2000, but at the same time, I find the aging of video games alarming. I am...

    Complex Storylines or not?

It depends. If the story is poorly written, I'd rather it wasn't there, but a good story in my opinion can save a game from a lot of gameplay issues. Also, it's always better when the gameplay and story actually have something to do with each other. You could have an entire epic written out, but...

    Poll: How Good are You?

Just curious, and please try to be honest. I'm personally not fantastic, but I have been gaming since I was about 3, so I'm hardly what you'd call mediocre. Also, feel free to give reasons, such as genres you excell at (or don't).

If you could work for any developer...

Valve, as an AI designer, because Valve's always been huge on AI, and their games are freaking awesome. If not them, then Ubisoft Montreal on either the Assassins Creed or Prince of Persia teams, because both of those franchises are great fun, if for no other reason than just because running...

How do you play multiple games?

I'll usually stick to one game per console at a time, unless I get antsy and need to replay an old one in the middle.

    Poll: Scariest game?

This is going to make me sound like a pansy, but Metroid Prime. That is the most atmospheric and genuinely terrifying game I've ever played. Blew Dead Space and the RE series completely out of the water. Don't know why, it just scares me.

    Art Style

So, I'm just curious what the gaming populous thinks. What is your favorite art style in games? Anything from dirty sci-fi (i.e. the original Star Wars trilogy), clean sci-fi (i.e. the test chambers in Portal), Steampunk, Cyberpunk, natural, medieval, anything. Speaking for myself, I'm a big...

    Super Mario Galaxy 2

This may sound weird, but I think Portal would be a great first game to introduce someone to gaming. Yes, it's complex, but it starts out simple and teaches each new mechanic individually before building it up into the bigger challenge and putting all the little puzzle elements together. It's...
