Depth basically. There were maybe 3 times as many guilds and often they had politically opposite goals, the villain was delightfully complex in terms of lore and allegiance and there was a marked difference between the world of Morrowind and ours. Oh and silt striders were delightful.

Yeah, I take him seriously. Although he makes inappropriate jokes, his criticisms of a a game are often spot on. For instance, I played Fallout 3 to death but I have to agree with Yahtzee comparing all the females to Natalie Portman from V for Vendetta and the game being many shades of brown...

But Portal 2 is the same price! And it's MUCH BETTER.
