I remember reading the first Jack Reacher book, and I only made it about 3/4 of the way through. I just couldn't handle any more cheesy dialog (Lee Child, I discovered, is not a great writer of believable dialog), and whoever told Child that 'Jack Reacher' was a good name for a main character...
