I took Kempo for like 7 years. It's a very well rounded martial art. I would actually recommend taking Judo as well. You'd be surprised how well it will blend with Kempo.

Think of it like Final Fantasy without random encounters and instead, the level design would resemble that of Halo. No turn based combat all live action. And Myst aspects in way of puzzles and brain teasing fuckery. Guns and a level system with puzzles.
