I actually like this model a lot. I don't plan spending a whole lot playing SC2, and having the option to access everything, albeit for a small time is good stuff.

I like it when the world has a background and the universe is rich in lore, but the narrative/plot doesn't get in the way of my gameplay, like Bioshock, Farcry 2, Dawn of War 2 or Portal. If it's there when I want it, and it's well put, then I'll consider it a nice little extra. After all...

QTF, man. Since I left college and started the "adult" life, gaming became much less about story. Now I get my story enjoyment from books and the occasionally excellent TV show (like BSG) and just play, mostly, multiplayer games. The reason I still love games is no longer for the immersion...

40 hour weeks are just about right. Maybe it's because I'm accustomed to it, but I find that leaves enough time to work-out, spend time with my GF and my friends, and keep my gaming up to date. Heck, I could use even a little less working time. Ahh... lazy boy :P

Also, don't forget about game modding and the indie game scene. A competent PC opens up a world of possibilities that you simply can't find on consoles. Just as an example, take a look at the Fallout 3 list of mods already available, completely free. PC's are finicky and sometimes utterly...
