That was completely unfunny, and didn't really seem to be video game related at all, other than it featured a spaceship and so do some games... At least it wasn't as cringe inducing as usual though.

Yeah I think that a combination of gaming and the internet (mostly the latter) has desensitised me to violence but I can't see why that is a negative thing. For me it's between taking out the entire other team with one lucky grenade in gears of war OR In battlefield 2 shooting down a chopper with 5 guys in it with a tank's main cannon from pretty much the other side of the map. The only problem was it turned out that it was on my team. Still...

Freedom Fighters was a great game that's rarely talked about anywhere ever.

I don't think games can be classed as art by default. I think games that try to be artistic can be classed as art, like Shadow of the Colossus for example.
