Avatar isn't anime, you have no idea what you're talking about so just stop. It's not "bound so hard to japanese way of thinking" because it's an American cartoon. Please don't comment on things you don't know anything about.

All I'm going to say is what people have already said, you're just looking at the wrong anime. Shitty long running battle shounen (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Fairy Tail, etc.) are made for young boys around the age of 13, they're also made to get as little done in the most amount of episodes...
