Maybe they had some sort of problem with the build... we've done some shader optimizations that were affecting some computers with low memory (or disk space) since that press build.
I wouldn't worry about the performance. I can definitely guarantee it requires much less than Crysis.
I'm one of Zeno Clash's game developers and I can guarantee it runs on older machines. The system requirements are basically the same as Left4Dead, slightly higher. The most consuming thing is depth of field / motion blur, and if you turn it off it will run on considerably old computers...
