Just got back from seeing it and while the visuals were great and the the score was awesome, the film itself was pure, unadulterated, fan-wank.
To round this off, I guess my problem is good fan wank should be inviting to new people to show them how great the series is and get them...
In these threads I always recommend the new "The Flash" series. Its more lighthearted then a lot of stuff on TV, but still has a lot of emotional weight and the main story arc goes at a really decent pace unlike a lot of shows that drag it out for the sake of drama.
I'm a bit light on ideas...
I regularly pre-order games that I'm certain I'm going to buy at some point (even if its a year from now) and normally for one of the following reasons:
1) Free Stuff - DLC, free copy of a previous game etc. Pretty much anything really as long as I think it could be fun/worth it. This...
Personally the only reason I stick with WoW is due to the friends I have there as we still raid 3 times a week. I personally loved Pandaria and think its some of the best world building and level design Bliz have done, but then they had to go fuck it up with the final raid (which lasted over a...
While I generally prefer paperbacks, as I like having a solid product for anything other then games, I'm a big Kindle user and will always have it with me if I expect to be hanging around somewhere or have a long journey.
Regarding the release of the trailer and WB's comment, there's part of me that finds it a little odd that they'd want to stop people from seeing their advertising. On something effects heavy I could understand (additional polish before public release), but don't see that as an issue here...
The fact I found that joke more enjoyable then the entire trailer says a lot about my thoughts for this film. I thought the tone for Man of Steele was completely wrong for the character and I generally dislike prevailing DC idea of "Superheros arn't that great" that seems to be running through...
I watched this a couple of weeks ago and I loved it. Obviously I'm a bigger fan of the minions then Matt (in that I actually like them) which probably helped and I was at least chuckling throughout. All the human characters were entertaining and while limiting themselves to 3 minions for most of...
Assuming traditional naming conventions, if your father's siblings are all female (like mine are) then a name can come down to 1 person. I'm in a similar boat to the OP where to find another person to carry on the family name other then myself you have to go back to my great-grandparent's...
I voted X as its my third favourite Final Fantasy (after VIII and XIV). However, while the story, visuals and combat are all great, it is very linear and IX definitely feels more like a traditional Final Fantasy.
Oh, and if you get X get the HD remake with X-2 as there's a lot more to it then...
Considering what Arrow turned into after its pretty abysmal opening few episodes, I'm still willing to give this a chance. The writing that wasn't cringworthy was entertaining (though they really should redo the opening narration), the action was pretty good and the majority of the cast were...
