    Sound Off!

More often than not I like it loud. If I can make it louder, I usually will... though I do have my limits. There is such a thing as too loud, to me at least. I also do consider making things softer if the situation calls for it, or I am inclined to that for some reason... but that seldom occurs...

    Strange gaming compulsions

Oh I have the "but I might need it later" and the OP's RPG habit bad... and usually the two fall hand in hand. There have been some RPGs I've played through that I have enough health potions at the end of the game to open my own warehouse, because I kept stockpiling them on me, but never using...

    Attack of the Arcade!

Most malls I've come across still have an arcade, and decent ones at that. Though the one I go to the most has seen considerable changes over time, but it is still there, so I cannot complain too much. However, they do seem like a dying breed... and that is a shame, since, like you said, the...

    The Holiday Council

My Warrior could use some nice holly cheer... he's been through a lot in his time :(

    The Holiday Council

Hmm... this holly thing seems to be quite the epidemic... Perhaps I should look into this for myself... or if some other kind soul could help me get there quicker, that would be nice too.

    Most Atmospheric Final Levels

Oh man, I remember that... that really was pretty sweet for it's time.

Does anybody else hate when games track your playing statistics?

Frankly I don't really mind the system as is in most games... If you don't want to know your playtime then you just don't type /played, pretty easy really. As for kill/death stats and their ratios... I personally would like to know, I don't obsess over such things... but I do like to try at...

    Editor's Note: Monsters and Mistletoe

Oooh... that's a heart-breaker for ya. Honestly for awhile there I was expecting the parents to get the game thinking that's the whole thing, not buying the NES... but that ending was just as disheartening, as well as completely dumbfounding.

Scientists Advise United Nations "Raise Shields!"

Make light of the subject all you want, but the threat is always there. Choosing to ignore it or belittle the subject is one way to deal with it, I suppose. A stupid way, but a way nonetheless. At any rate, to those who think 68m is such a big deal, and would be taking it away from more...

Around a decade ago : Spyro the Dragon

Ah Spyro... one of my most loved gamed from the PS1 age. I actually did manage to obtain all of the gems in the original although it took much time and trial and error on the Tree Tops and Haunted Towers levels... man were those a pain. You do get a reward, you open up the Gnasty's Loot level...

Poll: Too much Xbox 360 advertising

Well they are only trying to get their product sold... there's nothing inherently wrong with the ads... I personally can't really complain about them because I don't think I've seen too many really. However, if it truly is in as much excess as you say... then I could see your point. And yes, I...

    A question about wow?

Discs really aren't required for install anymore, as long as you have an old account and can remember its password, you can download the game files for the original game or any of its expansions. It does take somewhat of a long time, however, but you can do it. So if you have had an account in...

Which RPG Archetype best suits you? Which is your favorite/most played?

I always have to be the warrior or melee type of guy, with a touch of magic, preferably healing, if the game so allows. The kind of person that's up in your face, hacking away at you with a sword or mace and doing considerable damage, while still having the most health and armor of people...

    Games That Were Wrongly Ignored.

I wouldn't exactly say that... just because 4-5 people mentioned the game means that it had a minimum of a whole 5 sales... that's not exactly a chart-topper or most recognized if you ask me. It just means it was a good game that a few people liked and thought it was worth mentioning. A few...

    Games That Were Wrongly Ignored.

I have to agree with all those that have mentioned Brave Fencer Musashi and Tomba as well, great games indeed. Also, I believe that Wild 9 for the PS1 is worth a mention, a very unique platformer in it's own right. Dungeon Siege for the PC needs mention as well, I'm not sure just how ignored...
