Does Doom 3 scare you AT ALL anymore?

A lot of american horror games rely heavily on the "jump scare". After playing any of those games for a couple of hours, you can start to predict when somethings going to jump out at you, this was especially true with doom3. I really don't have much respect for games like that, jump scares just...

    Help for a console newb

    1) With motion controls being released later this year, this console lifecycle still has a number of years to go, so don't worry about a ps4 or xbox720 coming out anytime soon. The Wii showed everyone that most people aren't impressed enough by better graphics dish out another few hundred...

Bioware: FF13 is not an RPG

I've barely considered FF more than a bunch of cut scenes and some running in recent years, so his comment is a bit of an understatement.

    Suggestions for Mass Effect 3

I actually liked the idea of throwing out the experience point concept. I think it improved the role playing aspect of the game. Now, experience points are awarded for killing enemines, I think this is a little restrictive because you are awarded with experience only if you kill an enemy...

    xbox interface opinions

I'm currently undertaking an assignment for university, in which I have to conduct a study on a particular user interface. I've decided to work with the current xbox interface, and I was looking to gather people's opinions on how they find it. I've read a number of very positive reviews of the...

    Video Gaming Myths

Tell your father that a healthy human mind can tell the difference between real life and simulation (not that L4D is a sim). How does pushing a button to convey attacking an onscreen caricature in any way correlate to physically picking up a weapon and knowingly attacking another human being who...

    Video Gaming Myths

I find it quite offensive when anyone says gaming has negative effects on a person. You can go overboard with anything, including gaming, but to completely dismiss it as a harmful medium in general is incredibly narrow minded. The problem is that saying "games are harmful" is such a downright...

Can the PS MOVE increase shooter accuracy?

Yeah, streamlining these movements instead of explicitly identifying them would be excellent. I think Gears of Wear sort of did this with their "A" button, but being able to seamlessly move from cover, crouching, running, and aiming would be a great use of motion controls.

    Fanboy/girl Roll Call

Mass Effect for me. I've got every book/comic/guide that comes with it, and both games on xbox and pc. But as much as I love those games, I don't like calling myself a fanboy because I do have a lot of criticism for both games.

Can the PS MOVE increase shooter accuracy?

You can always rest your hands on your lap, and just move your wrist.

Can the PS MOVE increase shooter accuracy?

I thought of this when I first saw that demo of a guy playing SOCOM with the PS Move controls, and how he was using his right hand to control the cross-hairs sort of like a computer house. Now I'm pretty sure that the only main reason shooters are so much more precise on PC is because you get...
