I know a guy who gets really pissed off when the genre is described as a "Metroidvania". He tends to use that term for Castlevania games of that style. He uses "Metroid-like" for the genre. I kinda hope that catches on.
This is all well and good, but what about Sam & Max Season 4? If they're not going to do anything with that franchise, they might as well just drop it and let someone else do something with them.
I don't understand why people are still angry at Sega about this. I mean, they're already agreeing to pay out on the lawsuit. Gearbox is the only party in this controversy that's acting like a bunch of assholes at this point.
I'd honestly rather see a game starring Zelda than one with a gender-flipped Link. Seems like it would have a different set of mechanics and by extension, it could be a more interesting game.
I'm not really hostile to the idea of making Link a girl, per se. It just seems a bit boring...
I'm kind of disgusted to hear that my own university would pay that con artist any amount of money to spew her ill-conceived bile about video games. Not surprised, just disgusted.
It doesn't matter the game looks terrible anyway. They ripped all of the defining traits of a Dead Rising game out of 3 and turned it into a dudebro GTA clone with tactical nukes.
To think I believed in Capcom Vancouver.
I hope this guy's telling the truth. I was never into the Resident Evil games, so seeing them get the lion's share of resources since the mid-to-late '90s has been exhausting. I am looking forward to Remember Me though, even if it seems like no one else is.
