I own an original copy of a book called When we were boys, by William O'Brien. It was printed in 1890 and i can't even find an image to show you of it, I highly doubt its worth anything, but i haven't got around to actually checking.

No serial number that i can see and the publisher appears to be long out of business.

and there goes my hopes of selling it on Amazon, the 1890 version is only going for £27.00, though mine appears to be in a lot worse condition. EDIT: ah, the one on amazon is a reproduction.

my hopes shall remain up till they are inevitably dragged down by the monotony of human existence. sadly there is only one page with results for the book on google. it looks old though, so its worth something, right?

haha, i currently lack the escapist themed clothing to do that, but i think i will try to get it in a newspaper and if that fails, i might try the antiques roadshow at some point :)

well, according to many websites he did indeed write the book, as the front cover suggests, but he was also an MP for sinn fein, and wrote the book during his time in prison 0.o

yeah, i might get around to reading it, cost me 5 euros, and far as i can see, theres not even a mention of it in the authors wiki page.

there isnt even a wikipedia page for the book :( yeah, i would have stayed at that market thing longer, but some guy was yelling into a microphone next to the stall, gave me a headache after ten minutes :(
