I'm reading Carrie... I love Stephen King, but I actually DON'T recommend this book. I don't even know HOW this book landed him a career--I'm glad it did 'cause I love his other works--but Carrie is a clusterfuck of disjointed story-telling.

I think it all comes down to the question of what makes you happy. Does believing that there's no higher power and no greater meaning in the world or in your life bring you peace? If so, great! If not, maybe that's something to consider.
