I can't really blame GameStop for doing it. Sure it was wrong for them to open up the box and pull out the coupon, but it was also wrong for Square Enix to put coupons for a competing vendor into the box in the first place.
Don't worry, Voyager was terrible anyways (only the theme of Enterprise makes it worse than Voyager), and it is probably better off being stripped of its canon status.
