Thanks a lot guys! I'll have to tell Patrick he has some fans. :P
I guess my intention on the direction for the series was a little subtle. I'm used to working with comics a lot more than video, and things like that take some adjustment. Same thing for the characters (plus no real acting...
Thanks for tacking my vid on the reviews, Callate. Glad you liked the 8-bit music, that's the first I've heard. I've got quite a few 8-bit tracks and I've started posting 'em on 8bitcollective. I do a lot of comics, too, so I'm glad people seem to like the chibi characters.
I kind of agree on...
Thanks! Hopefully next time my cameraman won't bail on me. It was a really cramped office, so I needed someone behind the camera to free up the shots (I had to set up the shots myself...and I'm in most of them... :P)
Which one was yours?
Unfortunately I'm so frickin' busy I just don't have time to watch everyone's vids, but anyone who's a positive contributor makes me want to watch their vid.
I just hope our ideas aren't so similar we drag each other down. -_-;
Honesty is appreciated. I would've liked more time to work on the script; I'm much better improvised than on paper but that's hard to do with other people. I'm glad you liked Patrick and the spit take, though! (apparently I'm good at spit-takes, but I'm always facing electronics so I can't make...
I can't tell if anyone's even seen my vid. I really wish there was some way to keep track of views or votes!
Anyway, I know it's early but like I said I'm going to start filming something after this, Escapist or not, so any feedback on my vid would be appreciated! (second page, "The Pitch")
The Pitch
When the video game industry is running out of ideas, it's the perfect chance for a small company to steal the spotlight!
Though they might not have any good ideas either...
Watch Video
Hah, I actually have a couple of forum adventures myself, and I was thinking of doing a silly video adventure along those lines on youtube!
Heck, unless I win the contract I may still do it. Basically I'm viewing this as "the start of filming," Escapist or not!
...But I'd rather continue the...
Yeah, I was definitely not expecting it till later. Honestly I'm surprised we were able to find a day for filming when we were all off work with our crazy schedules! Well, okay, I had to call out...
Indeed, thanks. At least it wasn't nearly as bad as last year; I can't count all the things that went wrong then!
And to Vignette: Blaugh, I'm surprised you remember that! Anyway, last time it was just me and Patrick and I did all the work. I did almost everything again this year, but I did...
Video submitted! Definitely had my cameraman bail on me and only had one day to shoot, but I think it came out pretty well!
Looking forward to seeing everyone's stuff!
Thanks for the comments and thanks to everyone who voted! Hopefully I'll get my hands on a good mic (+camera?) in the near future, and I'm planning on doing more vids around January-ish so be sure to check that out.
Happy holidays everybody!
Yeah, mic and camera are my current goals, but considering all the technical difficulties I'm really excited with how this turned out! There was even a third character that had to be written out at the last minute (unavailable) so it was kind of re-written on the spot.
After doing this in one...
I'm drooling over the high quality camera...mmm...
*ahem!*
Really nice production. Your editor is underpaid!...especially if he's not paid!
Great vid. If my video gets left in the dust you'll get my votes.
...but the battle has just begun! I'm still rooting for mine!
