I'm confused about this whole thing and I don't think I responded correctly last time. Anyhow, I'm not a fanboy, I like all consoles... I own only a 360 and DS but I want to get a PS3 for certain exclusives.

I wasn't aware you had to purchase a warranty. I was always just given one with a purchase, which was what happened with him. And since you never implied, I thought it was just changed to that even if you already had a warranty. That's my bad for assuming.

I didn't realize the console cost that much when it debuted. Jeez.

The friend I mentioned just had this happen in March and he got his console back close to April. Must have been more recent...

I think it would be safe to assume they'll be like Gold/Silver... but with minor updates: graphics, certain things you do, movesets, etc. Just sayin'.

I had a USB light thing to plug into the side of the original brick Game Boy. I got another one to use with my Game Boy Color and then one for the Game Boy Advance. Clearly, the problem was taken care of by feeding Nintendo more money for extras.

Actually you can blame the developers of the game in a way... they could disable the Start Menu button by default or allow that as an option. Since they don't you can sort of blame them, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Amethyst would be fun. I've always wanted a Purple Pokemon game...

Good choice, though to be more on a kid's level I'll settle for Pokemon Zinc and Pokemon Cobalt.
