    Best TF2 Phrase

"If you order now, I offer a second beatin', absolutely free!" "Oh, I'm burnin'! I'm-I'm burnin!" "Is anyone even payin' attention to me?" All of the scout's lines crack me up.

    Insignificant details in games.

Half-Life 2: Lost Coast At the beginning, if you shoot one of the seagulls around you the fisherman will yell at you, saying "We've lost enough species already!" Also, just the level of detail in the HL2 series (i.e. the ransacked, bloodstained interiors of the houses along highway 17, etc.)

    Poll: Team Fortress 2 Classes

In real life, I would most want to be an engineer or medic. Do you have any idea how much money you could make if you could patent the stuff they use? A heal gun that cures all injuries in seconds? Infinitely supplied health/ammo sources? TELEPORTERS? Perhaps I'm thinking too literally, but...

My prediction for Meet The Pyro (as if any of you care)

I'm guessing Valve is going to play up the whole unintelligibility thing for humorous effect, i.e. having the Pyro say things which are just mumbling to the viewer but elicit shocked reactions from onlookers or having the Pyro enthusiastically "exlpain" the presence of seemingly random objects...

Coolest gun you've ever used in a game?

Both of the weapons from Rachet & Clank you guys mentioned had similar predecessors in Turok: Evolution. It's anyone's guess as to which is a better game, but a gravity gun (not like the HL2 gun) that let you hold up dinosaurs with a tractor beam and smash them into things (and each other) is a...

If you could have only one PC game what would it be?

I'm going with TF2. Although the AoE games and CSS have similar replayability (and I'm sure others I haven't played, like Starcraft, do too), TF2 is the most fun and varied to me. Besides, I'm actually sort of good with it, unlike the others.

    Favorite TF2 Moment

I have plenty of great stories about me experiencing moments of skillfull glory, but the funniest and most memorable tales are usually about accidents. My personal favorite is when I was taunting with the Sandman in an attempt to kill a zoomed-in sniper in front of me in order to unlock the...

    Best Cheap Game Find?

Caesar III. We paid $9.99 for what I discovered to be basically the City-building equivalent of Starcraft: a well-executed game that runs well on near anything, has primitive graphics but such good art that it looks great none the less, and is so well balanced that it is extremely replayable...

    Poll: Most Dreaded Gaming Personality

Fortunately, I don't see too much of most of these (I play TF2 almost exclusively, good community). Still, I hate it when people just use voice chat to talk and trash talk constantly. I mean, I want to frag and listen to the screams of my dying enemies (right after beating them down with the...

    Worse off as a species?

    A. Humanity is not "just another animal". It is axiomatic fact that the complexity and profundity of human existance is far superior to that of any other animal due to our intellectual abilities and staggeringly complicated patterns of interaction. To say that people are "just another animal"...

    Funniest glitch in a game.

In Half-Life 2, dead enemies sometimes suffer a physics glitch which makes them shake uncontrollably. The memories of lauging at a downed CP flailing wildly with some sort of seizure whenever I so much as touched him (not to mention flying across the room when I shot him) will not soon be...

    Deadpool solo movie confirmed!

I was impressed by how seriously committed to the role Reynolds seemed in the article. It makes me very hopeful that they pull it off well. If they do, they will be WORSHIPED by fanboys everywhere.

    Your Biggest Dick Move

In TF2, I occasionally waste ammo deliberately so I can pick up junk/ammo off of the ground, thus depriving enemies/cloaked spies of the advantage. Also, I use the Sandman constantly, even taking random long-range shots on the off-chance of hitting someone and knocking him out for some 20...
