If I were to resubmit, I would create a comic called, "Confessions of a Recovering Gamer." It would chronicle how my perceptions of reality have been influenced by my gaming and the stupid things I do as a result.

If I lose the contest, I'll go back to building the setting of the non-gaming comic that I've been planning for a while. It'll be a world full of mad science, forbidden magic, and plot holes. I just need to make sure it's different enough from the other comics I read.

I expected this to happen. As long as there is time to make improvements, it might as well be used to do so. Next time a contest like this comes around, though, I'm going to make sure my comic is mostly done before I start experimenting with new techniques.

I'm just saying that since the prize is a contract with the Escapist, I don't want to see a really cool comic get turned down because the cartoonist admitted to being a slacker. I want to win, of course, but I want it to be a fair competition even more.
