I tend to draw the line when a value judgement gets added.
So, in my mind, "not my thing" without a value judgement is a preference. "Not my thing because it is immoral/[insert ethnic group] is [insert judgement], etc." would be intolerance.
Well, the interviews have said that they're aiming for something akin to MASH - a "dramedy" in the science fiction genre. It's also a reaction against all of the dark SF that has come out in the last few years in the wake of BSG, with a not small amount of homage to the optimism of ST:TNG and...

Hi all!
So, today is a bit on the chaotic side over here - my basement suffered some water damage a couple of months ago, and the rebuild to it (which includes the room with my cable modem and router, as well as my office) is probably entering the painting walls and laying floors stage today...
Somewhat, although Max is a broken person who is at least SOME level of interesting.
But, yeah, I would say the main difference is that a Mad Max movie only asks you to stick around for two hours - it doesn't try to make a TV series out of it.
My wife and I watched the first two or three episodes, and, frankly, it didn't grab us past that. One of the problems we had was that the two main characters were easily the least interesting ones in the entire show - on the other hand, we could have watched the lunatic in the top hat for hours...

I hate to point this out, but neo-Nazis and white supremacists held a gathering in Washington after Trump's election wherein they shouted "Hail victory! Hail Trump!" while doing a Nazi salute.

I just figured out why that video defending him seemed so very, very wrong. It was justifying PewDiePie's actions based on "the context is that he was using it as a joke to make X look antisemitic!" But that's not the point - the point is that he was paying people to advocate genocide IN THE...
