The "disabled" one legged demons in Sens fortress are much easier with the Rusted Iron Ring. Check the Wiki but you'll also want to pick up the Peculiar Doll from your starting cell also while your there, ohh and you'll meet the Stray Demon if your not careful, now that is a tough fight.

I think Greyah sums up a key factor in what's great about DS... non linearity. Part of the reason i'm still playing new character builds today. Capra demon is a tough fight on your first few tries, especially if you've no idea what's coming and everyone above has listed the usual strategies...
