Most Frustrating (Non-Boss) Enemies in games!

Feral ghoul reavers in Fallout 3. I'd happily sacrifice 100 Tenpenny Towers' full of civilians if it meant never having to deal with those fuckers.

Xbox One, PS4 Waste $400 Million Annually in Standby Mode

I'm confused by the graph. They don't say how long the things are operational for over the year. Does anyone know the actual power draw of the 360 and XB1? Sources I've seen vary, but assuming during gameplay: XBox 360: 160 W XBox ONE: 110 W And for standby: XBox 360: 2 W XBox ONE...

Most Badasas Countries : Awesome Meter Game; Preliminary Rounds

Round 1: 21st century (2000-Today) USA; still the most important place on Earth over the last 14 years. Round 2: Victoria Era ( 1830-1910) Britain; they made the modern world. Round 3: Cold War (1945-1991) USA; they won. Obvious. Round 4: The Crusades (1100-1300) Abbasid Caliphate...

Can you enjoy entertainment from horrible people?

The thing against Wagner isn't that he was associated with the Nazis, it's that he was a raving anti-semite.

    Most annoying character voices?

I think she's designed for easier difficulty settings. As soon as husks get armour, she's a waste of time.

    Most annoying character voices?

The "I will destroy you!" gained notoriety from ME1 (arrow to the knee style) because it was shouted by enemy female biotics continually. The fact Jack says it in ME2 is as a joke hinting towards the irritability of the phrase in the first game. Someone else says it in ME3 too.

Random BS people say that you get fed up with.

Is it fair to call a difference in political opinion BS? It looks to me like fracking would help improve your economy.

Why do people buy used games?

Well if the EU courts say so then it's clearly no longer up for debate.

Why do people buy used games?

I'm afraid there is a grey area. That's why copyright law is so difficult to get right (at all levels). Morality really doesn't enter into it.

Why do people buy used games?

The lines become blurred when one considers the difference between physical property and intellectual property when it comes to ownership and selling on. Software sits in a grey area between the two.

Why do people buy used games?

The presence of that secondary market is what is probably driving down the price of the new games after launch. People might pay £10 for a new copy (if new is £15 say, and used is £5); they're probably less likely to pay £30. If you take the cheap option away from consumers, there's no impetus...

Poll: "Heartbroken" Microsoft Employee Explains How Family Sharing Would Have Worked

I wasn't sure how this thing was going to be implemented, and how it would be better for publishers than the used game market. I've deliberately kept quiet on the whole nextgen thing because I didn't know details about this and it had the potential to be quite good for someone like me. If...

Why does the games industry think it is special regarding used games?

I don't think the games industry are "exclusive in their hatred of the pre-owned market", I suspect a lot of industries would be happy to be able to close off some or all of the secondary market of their products. The difference with games is that they actually have the technology to implement...

Why the XBone is a good console

What's the purpose of the share function? Is this a limited time thing so your friend can play it like a rental title? Or does it remain accessible to your friend indefinitely?

    Used games

I think the distinction comes with the fact that used games and brand new games are generally of the same quality to the end user, coupled with the fact that they're often the kind of thing people don't replay as much as say, music CDs or DVDs. Whether that says more about producers making games...
