Mobigame is powerless in this case as they've tried. Edge has been released on to the Apple store twice now and it's Apple who have removed it at Langdell's request. If Apple don't consent then Edge doesn't exist on the App store. So it's not for Mobigame's trying, they want to release the game...
It's still coming out, it just now runs the risk of Langdell trying to pass it off as his own.

I'm pretty sure that in the trademark definitions it states that licensed products don't count towards a companies effort to keep a...
He got his claws into FuzzyEyes a few months back. Their game now brandishes the 'Licenced from Edge Games' stain. We tried to warn them, but he got there first and sent the letter of doom and got them to sign an agreement.
Certainly did, in the 80's and very early '90s the trademark was used as their business name, and anyone creating video games during that period and trying to call themselves The Edge would have indeed caused confusion.
But there's no confusion here. We have a company that hasn't seen a title...
Some of you might want to go back and read Edge Games public statement on this as it's quoted in the article.
However the link to the article was removed a few days back. Maybe because someone had knowledge that this Escapist article was about to arrive.
Fear not though, removing the link...
I've been following this since May and I'm still yet to see an example of this trademark. (Post 1991)
Anyone have any luck finding it? Maybe down the back of their chair?
It's the actions of a martyr for sure, but in someways this had to happen. Mobigame are simply the ones that have decided to jump on the grenade.
Edge Games don't have the products/evidence to win this case, they didn't against Namco which was a similar case. The loosing part of this for...
Namco changed the name because they knew how long a court battle could take to play out. Another of Edge Games' fine tactics, apply for extensions and delay court hearings so that the defendants product remains off the shelf and earning no money.
This is why so many people give in at the...
Don't get copyright and trademark mixed up, they're very different beasts.
Also a trademark isn't just a word, it's a mark, often part word, part look. This is partly the way that some words can be used in many places, because the consumer sees the logo and the look of the mark as much as...
He's got a terrible record in court. Read some of the transcripts. Pretty damn hilarious reading.
EDGE GAMES vs NAMCO (SOULEDGE)
Edge Games claim to have released a game called Souledge in 1988, which stayed on sale till around 1992.
NO ONE has ever heard of this game, this game he...
I'm surprised that so many people are lapping up this info and so quickly changing their mind about the whole subject.
The fact is that you don't always have a good guy and a bad guy in every battle. So I'm not saying that Mobigame have done the right thing or wrong here. But you can't just...
