I slightly remeber a old PC game. You were on d pirate ship (Or something) I remeber some uzzles with a snake turning into a ladder, or some shit. And think you liworked you´re way up from the bottom of the ship. Because i remember that the final level where on the deck.. It was a puzzle game...
