Depends on my mood whether I cheat or not. It also depends on what I plan to be building. If I want to build a giant obsidian monolith to the stars, no way in hell I'm mining all that.

Seems to me that the real winner here is Steam. It offers everything PSN and XBL do but for free and you can get almost all the same games plus more for cheap. Sure there are sometimes issues with Steam bugging but it really doesn't make much of a difference.

I am legend would be a good movie to take lessons from. It could be some fun open world co-op although it'd hardly be scary that way.
