Poll: Do you enjoy playing games as much as you did when you were a kid?

I thought I had lost the love of games. I thought I was just growing up, and then a little game called Rayman Origins popped up and I played that game for hours. It was the first time in years that I invited people around to play a game with me at my house, it was bright, it was fun, and I...

I failled at life, thinking of joining the army .

I did some contract security work on a military base for a while. From my experience, if you can handle macho douchebaggery and would like to become a macho douchbag, than it could be a good option. Personally, I couldn't stand the troops, and heard way too many people talk about how they...

Boycott E3!!! (Stand Together, The Gaming Community vs SOPA and PIPA)

Here's hoping The Escapist is prepared to boycott E3 as well. It should earn them back some browny points with readers after that whole site redesign thing that went down.

    Your childhood game!

The first Sonic and Jazz Jackrabbit baby. Pokemon and FFVII came in later as games which I spent hours on, but my childhood memories remain with Dos and Sega.

    The New Shiny Escapist

The design/art/deco whatever you want to call it, doesn't really bother me too much... I just can't find the videos I want to watch. It's all I really come here for, and now I can't actually find the new ones. The old box on the right hand side that showed the latest episodes was my best friend...

Things you hate in your favorite games

Time sequences in anything ever. Any under water section ever. Aeris/Aerith. I also wanted to write something that could spark further conversation or insight but I don't know how to do that on this topic, so I guess the little list will have to suffice.

I'm wondering a bit about this:

I have heard stories from some friends in teaching positions that text and internet shorthand does occasionally make its into essays and what-not, but I imagine those same students would have written just as poorly in earlier years. I've found in some areas, the internet has created...

Have you ever knowingly bought a game that was "average"

Over the course of time, I've owned most of the Dynasty Warriors games... and they're all exactly the same... and I keep buying them. Why do I keep buying them? (Note: I do always enjoy them though)

What's your favourite classic Simpsons episode?

Bigger Brother episode. "Your dad's gone" "Aha" "And he's not coming back is he?" "He might" "No no he won't." and who could ever forget the ever classic line, "I love you papa Homer," "I love you too Pepsi, I mean Pepi."

What's the longest book you ever read?

Romance of the Three Kingdoms. And damn. I'm not sure how many pages it is, but it's an extremely large book, my version came in two editions, probably due to spine structure. You can read it for free too cause it's open source if anyone cares to, wack it into google. Good read but... yeah...

    Lets Bash Religion...or Not

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping. Man... some of those dark age priest guys were jerks.

    Lets Bash Religion...or Not

Congratulations! You have qualified to be a dark ages priest. +10 to word play. Please note however that Christians and Catholics in the future will resent you for making their life harder during the boon of athieism. But yeah... in seriousness, you're twisting the doctrine a bit there...

What do you name your rival in Pokemon?

My Dad's name, then spent ages trying to convince him that the character had the exact same name as his.
