Poll: Too little creativity in video games?

I think that LittleBigPlanet is the most creative game in many years, and that's going to make a big splash in the world of gamers, but even games with no creativity can be fun. I mean, GT5 Prologue isn't exactly creative, but it's a lot of fun to play.

Why try and get yourself banned?

The only good reason for getting yourself banned is when you're on the GameSpot Forums, and cannot take the System Wars fanboys any more. That's what I did. Oh, fake MGS4 spoilers :D

What would you call your child?

Is there a reason this is hypothetical, as opposed to what did you call your child, or is it based on an assumption that people here don't have children? For a boy, Zack. For a girl, Sophie. I like the sound of both of them.

Zero Punctuation: Prince of Persia Retrospective

Yahtzee's top 5 are: 1: Portal 2: Silent Hill 2 3: POP Sands of Time 4: Spider Man 2 (WTF???) 5: Fantasy World Dizzy (for the Commodore 64, no less) I win Yahtzee's utter disgust! PS. He has a small and unsatisfying penis... LOL.

From some insignificant old series called Fire Emblem, or so I'm told.

How Would You Make A Non-Violent But Fun Free-Roaming Game?

Beyond Good and Evil was fantastic, and still worth picking up, but it had lots of fighty moments. They were fun fighty moments, though.

    Zero Punctuation: The Witcher

LOL, best review so far IMO, Painkiller at the end was inspired, and washing the gimp of course. On the more serious side, I don't understand why developers feel the need to exclude huge numbers of people by making their game so complicated, it seems as though it would just slow sales and lower...

Zero Punctuation: Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles

EA syndrome, so true. Hey, Yahtzee went to Valve's studio, and wrote a travelogue, but I don't remember him mentioning any face wanking in that, this is a further insight into his sexuality (he now officially likes men and Valve employees). And did having 'FPS style analog stick levels' do...

Poll: A Team Fortress 2 rant

For a supposedly well balanced game, everybody seems t ofavour the Spy or the Sniper, fhich I find odd. Is that just the common playing style of everyone on this forum?

    Dear Valve...

There's a rumour that Valve aren't going to produce episodes 3, 4 or 5, that instead they're going to allow other developers to make them, so Valve can get on with other, more exciting projects. I think I read that on the Valve forums, but I can't provide a link and I don't know how much truth...

So now that HD-DVD is dead

Yay! The more formats go BluRay exclusive the better! This counters the argument that after the first wave of early adopters who don't care about the price have finished buying, next comes the average consumer who would favour HDDVD because of the lowwer price of players, but who would buy a...

So now that HD-DVD is dead

There is already writeable and rewritable BluRay discs and drives, you can get them built in on more expensive (AlienWare I know about) computers, it's just that what good are they if nobody else has a BluRay drive to see what you've put on the disc? I agree that HDDVD is dead though, and I...

    stinkypitz reviews Assassins Creed

The problems I have with the gameplay is the fact that leading up to all the assassinations you're doing the same things over and over again: pickpocketing, eavesdropping, etc. whilst using exactly the same buttons for each one. If you want a game with pretty graphics but some good gameplay as...

    Quality as a Four-Letter Word

Please note that it's Microsoft that are doing this, and not Nintendo or Sony. The Japanese have a reputation for reliable goods, such as the Wii, PS3 and even cars made by Toyota. My PSX broke once in the five years I had it, my PS2 never broke and had about 5 minor disc read errors, nothing...
