Weird Quotes You Have Seen On The Front Of Magazines Which Make You Wanna Buy Them.

I was in line at the store the other day and the cover of Cosmo magazine had the phrase "How to Blow a Job Interview". I had to do a double take.

what band do you want to reform or end their hiatus?

Scissorfight! If you haven't heard of them do yourself a big favor and check them out. The albums New Hampshire and Mantrapping for Sport and Profit are f'ing crazy. I mean, c'mon...the singer's name is Iron Lung.

Songs that Fit Situations in Books

I finished reading American Psycho by Brett Easton Ellis and let me tell you, it is NOT for the timid. My Jesus mercy. But whenever I hear Psycho Killer by the Talking Heads I think of that book. Especially since the sociopathic, morbid, dark, disturbing ideas being fed to you are...

    Banned from the UK

Like who? Michael Moore? Noam Chomsky? A guy named Bill Ayers bombed the pentagon in the sixties and now his an intellectual colleuge of our president. As far as I know, they live very comfortable (and highly respected) lives here in the U.S. They've done and said far worse to the U.S than...

It is...now. Things like this always go too far eventually. It always starts small. How long before it goes from letting people in to throwing people out to getting rid of people altogether?

And who determines this? Where is the proof? Speaking your mind can be judged acceptable based on the likelihood of a crime being committed as a result? What consititues decent oversight? I believe the Soviets had "decent" oversight with the NKVD at one time.

    Fixed news (FOX NEWS)

I want to know why so many "open and tolerant free thinkers" want to stamp out anything that doesn't conform to their worldview? I'm glad some people here at at least vaugely aware that all major media outlets are biased one way or another. Case and point: Barack Obama has been widely...

Who else is disguisted by children nowadays?

I feel that the "kids are expensive. Both parents need to work to make ends meet" is a myth. If people took a more financially reasonable approach to life it wouldn't be half as hard. But when you want a big house, new cars, flat screen T.Vs, etc. and then raise kids on top of that, you have...

Who else is disguisted by children nowadays?

I edited out the "douchebag" comment right after I posted. That was unecessary. I apologize for that. I know he was talking about other people's intelligence. That was the irony. He is implying that Americans are dumb, while commiting many simple grammar errors within the statement...

Who else is disguisted by children nowadays?

The first sentence should have a period after the word 'Poland' instead of a comma. The words "Poland", "English", and "America" are proper nouns and should be capitalized. "Americas" should be spelled "America's" because it is possessive. BTW...I'm an American.

Who else is disguisted by children nowadays?

This is the biggest truism in life, IMO. Historical perspective is key to understanding all that is going on around us. "Kids are horrible nowadays!" During the Great Depression, kids roamed the streets in major cities, living like vagrants...stealing and begging for what they could get...

Things you want to say to a customer but just can't...

I'm the 'Guest Services Manager' of a hotel and boy do I have about a million things I would love to say to people. There are a couple off the top of my head: - No, you can't get a free stay because someone was loud in the hallway last night and you never reported it - The pool area is...

The First Time You Had Your Mind Blown...

Happened twice. 1. First time watching Revervoir Dogs. When the credits started to roll, I just stared at the screen with my mouth gaping open, trying to voice the word "whoa" 2. Finished the book Fools Die by Mario Puzo. That is more of a personal thing. It was just such an amazing...
