That was a tough choice. I have always played casters and loved them the most. Eventually I did get into playing cleric types/healer types and loved that but still liked my casters better. Now I play all the types and I really love my tank builds. I do love my caster for certain areas and...
Don't be fooled. We are still enjoying DnD with friends (voice chat IN game is wonderful) and we still enjoy our alcoholic beverages while playing. (I have at least 2 friends who play better drunk lol)
I'd love to interact with you. What server are you on?
As far as interacting goes, have you put up an lfm? Have you joined a group via the lfm system? I've not ever had a day on DDO where I didn't interact.
Here's what I want. I would love a 2 player, hack & slash RPG similar to Baldur's Gate but with more *much more* play time, better storyline, and more to do. Hubby and I loved loved loved playing 2 player RPGs together but not that many ever came out and they were so short. We could beat them in...
Alot of you have named stuff that I can't stand and I can't point to any one game in particular but I would have to go with games that are more movie than game. If I get 5 mins of combat and then 30 mins of movie every time forget it. Some of the Final fantasy's were like this and there are...
Sometimes you still wait and sometimes you don't. You can also buy a hireling to run with you. I have to say that hubby and I lvl a lot of toons alone for the most part just because we tend to run at odd hours. Sometimes with just he and I and sometimes we each bring a hireling.
Hirelings are...
Yep been there too. First time through Coal Chamber with guildies I'd never run with. They zerg and I'm fumbling trying to keep up. They complete the quest before I ever make the climb and I feel like crap. Go to bed and have full on nighmares about that quest all night. ugh
OMG my dreams are far too bizzarre to share. You'd all think I was really honestly loony.
However DDO does invade my dreams. Heck if I've been playing for a good stretch before bed it will often dominate my dreams. One night I even dreamt up an entire new quest for DDO and I think it would...
Considering how I'm actually a woman I go for melee as well. It is just far too much fun to run in and hack and slash my opponent. And oh the joy when you get the critical hit and chop its head off or watch it pop.
Although I do enjoy casting (shooting) or even the occasional heavy repeating...
I would say around 36 hours. Got very very involved in leveling a character in DDO one weekend and forgot to sleep. I just didn't get tired. But let me tell you, I sure crashed for a nice LONG nap after that one.
Hmmm... I have been thinking about it. Those of you who are planning to start or have started a 10 day free trial can't send tells or mail so contacting me in game might be difficult for you. So here's my offer. If you are rolling a toon on Argonesson then send me a mail HERE on this site and...
Ok so let me tell you my starting out in DDO story.
I had never played an MMO. I had played tons and tons of FPS and RPG games but never online. I was terribly bored with my old games and had nothing new to play. (I'm disabled so gaming helps fill the times when I can't move much) I started by...
I hope someone answered this already but I didn't want to lose my train of thought by reading further.
I know EXACTLY what you mean. I HATE the way you swing to begin with. But as you level up you character learns. You will begin swinging more than that one slash swing. eventually you can...
