    The Big Picture: Relics

Very good episode as usual. Finding out that benign racism still exists to a large extent in society and pop culture was really interesting. It does make me wonder what else in popular culture is remnants of overt racism of the past.

    Poll: Can England be invaded

No country in the entire world is invulnerable. Even if they were to hold off an invading force, the lines would eventually break.

book you had to read for school and actually enjoyed/found interesting.

The books that have to do with possible futures and alternate histories. I always wind up really thinking about them while I'm reading the books and even when I'm not about what it would be like.

book you had to read for school and actually enjoyed/found interesting.

This just recently happened to me for english class. In the past we always had to read boring books that just didn't catch my attention. Recently however, we had to read the Graphic novel, Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. It is about based on the authors experiance as a child during the Islamic...

PETA fights CoD dog killing with Nintendogs.*UPDATE*!!!

Another hilarious attempt from an asshole political group trying to convince people what they do is right. I hate PETA, they're just idiots who can't accept the fact that humans have been attcking animals since humans first set foot on Earth, it's just a way to survive. P.S.- I heard a...

    rock's not dead

It's just that a lot of the good rock is overshadowed by bad rap and emo music, making it much harder to find on the radio and in the mainstream.

    rock's not dead

Your list is good, but I would include foo fighters, and a few canadian bands such as matthew good and sam roberts. The band Priestess(the same one listed in the initial post) is from Canada and really good. I have thier debut album "Hello Master" off of itunes and I listen to it at least...

    rock's not dead

Alright I've decided to extend the requirements from "1995 to now" to "has released any music in the 2000s". This should get a lot more bands that people want to be included, like Tool and Oasis.

    rock's not dead

All great bands I was going to mention if I thought of them when I posted. I'm a little Iffy on Senses Fail from what I've heard, but I will check them out some more and see what I think.

Our immune system. Are we dropping it?

Interesting. I never thought about it. This is now another reason why genetic engineering could be a benifit in the future. I mean if humans could resist any disease, then more money could be spent on other needs instead of making the drugs needed to fight diseases. Interesting.

    rock's not dead

I keep hearing from my parents and a lot of poeple that rock music is dead and that no one plays it anymore. In my opinion, that's total crap. Rock is still alieve just as it ever was. It's not exactly done well on the radio, but anywhere else, it still works. So I want to know, what are...

The European View on all things American

I'm from America and the one thing I usually wonder is why a lot of countries have royal families if they have no political power at all. I know they're suppoesed to be symmbolic, but for what?

    Men Wearing Earrings

My friend has standard metal rings(I don't know any other way to call them) and they look just fine. I think it depends on the type of earring.
