The game is definitely fantasy. Though it's darker tone is almost night and day with games like Oblivion that try to achieve that high fantasy feel. But yeah, if your not into fantasy, this probably won't be for you.

Mass Effect 2's was pretty epic. Other than that, Morrowind's was pretty cool. Although it wasn't grandious, there was something quite engaging about climbing on deck and seeing the world for the fist time. It's an elderscrolls thing, you won't understand.
