Coming Around to the Wii U

I think Nintendo has had some progressive games over the years. Particularly the ones that come out of Skip such as Chibi-Robo, GiFTPiA, and the Art Style series. But also the Paper Mario games and Earthbound. With the Gamecube they got really experimental and there were all sorts of crazy ideas...

Jimquisition: Why PC Gaming Gets Away With It

The WiiU is backward compatible with the Wii, so I don't know what he'd talking about when he says none of the systems are backward compatible anymore. Also, I bought Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath last December and I still can't play it nor can I find a patch for it. :\ Plus, I could probably think...

Jimquisition: Why PC Gaming Gets Away With It

The WiiU is actually cheaper than $400 at its most basic set and does have games that the PC will probably never have. So the WiiU does have that going for it.

    Nintendo Wants Its Cut

I will admit that I didn't really present my argument very well or with the most understanding tone. I probably should have taken more time to think out how I wanted to say what I said and that has definitely hurt my case. But at the same time, I'm not going to "pretend" that I have my opinion...

    Nintendo Wants Its Cut

If this was to protect their copyrights, then why didn't they just remove the videos entirely? And what about Let's Plays before they made money? Didn't they make videos about Nintendo games and not get paid for it? And don't the people who work for 4 years on a game have a right to decide who...

    Nintendo Wants Its Cut

What changed because they did this? Is the fact that you and other people aren't getting PAID to play their games mean that now you can't do them or they aren't good games? If you're buying and playing games just to get some cash, then I don't really get why you even play games. Isn't the point...

    Nintendo Wants Its Cut

I'm not going to pretend that I'm not a Nintendo fan, because I am, but I don't have a blind devotion. If they screw up, I will admit they screwed up (I'm looking at you Metroid: Other M). That said, I don't think what they did was this horrible. I will admit that Nintendo really should have...

    Nintendo Wants Its Cut

I remember a time when people weren't paid to do Let's Plays. They made the videos solely because they wanted to show people a game they may not have heard about. Now, when you tell people they aren't getting paid, they're all butt hurt about it and refuse to play the game, even if they love it...

    Jimquisition: Crying Through The Laughs

Throughout the whole thing I couldn't help but think about Chibi-Robo. The game is overall very happy, but when its sad it really hits hard. Yet, I've always loved how the game never wallowed in its dark themes, but used them to instead to accent the main moral, spread the happiness.

Capcom's Latest Scheme: More Sequels, Shortened Development Time

I feel bad for all the people who just realized that their work environment is about to become more of a hell than it already was.

    Dyad Review

For some reason I'm reminded of a lot of Art Style games, more specifically Light Trax with all the speed and it feeling kind of like a Tron light cycle.

Deus Ex Designer: "The Ultra-Violence Has To Stop"

I like Chibi-Robo because it isn't about violence, its all about helping people and making them happy. The conflict of the game rarely centers around violence, and the amount included in the game is almost made to be saddening, heck the game even kind of says its not the minions' fault for...

Kid Icarus: Uprising and Hurt Nintendo Fans

I just feel like throwing the Art Style series of games on the Wii Shop out there. They're all really good if a bit short, but always innovative in their own way. Heck Cubello used motion controls and it worked out pretty well, and Orbient only used 2 buttons. If you want an innovative game...

    Jimquisition: When Piracy Becomes Theft

... oops, I haven't actually been checking for when it came out, I was kind of hoping to stumble on to it one day. This is one way to do it, although now there will be about 1,000 people telling me the exact same thing and making me look like an idiot all because I didn't look enough research...

    Jimquisition: When Piracy Becomes Theft

I have to say I loved World of Goo so much, that even though I had already bought it for Wii, I bought it one Steam just to have it on my laptop, and when they make an Android version, I'll probably buy that too.
