Did you ever think that maybe a lot of gamers play more then 1 game at a time and Counter Strike just happens to be our old past time that we like to go back and play. I still play CS 1.6 and Quake on a regular basis.... guess why, because they are fun and they are some of the most balanced...

You are mostly right except I don't think PC gaming is really dieing as much as thinning out a bit. The people who still game on the PC are gaming enthusiasts that want the unparalleled control a PC gives them. I personally love to perfect all of my settings and I love messing around with...

Valve and Blizzard belong to the PC gamers, they are all we have left and you can't take them from us. Every single good game that isn't from these two developers is a crappy port when it reaches PC (a few exceptions in niche genres).

I would love to hear you guys get together on a VoIP for an hour a week and just discuss stuff like this. I think it would be pretty epic. I know I would listen to it, wouldn't even need a video.

The only real competition is between North and East whoever wins between Blizzard and Bioware is going to win it all. My vote is for Bioware, Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 in the same year I mean come on.
