I was pretty disappointed in Assassin's Creed. The sometimes-gorgeous animations was sullied by constant clipping. I kept waiting for it to get interesting but it stayed dull and monotonous. And that meta-storyline about being from the future? Bleh.

I'm pro-Steam also. Can't say I've had any problems with it, and it's about the easiest online game store I've used. Great for sales too; I've bought a number of games that I never would have gotten around to purchasing if I had to walk to the store or jump through crazy DRM hoops to get it.

I would gladly take it, at least initially. How else would you experience all you ever wanted? One lifetime is too short. Of course, I'm sure the ennui would kick in eventually, and then there would be no way out.

I sound like I'm 12, and so does my roommate (we're both 26). We discovered this when playing on the same Red Orchestra server about a year ago, and haven't used our microphones much since.

Same here, and that was just from the ad; I hadn't actually played the game yet! Although, that, and Adagio for Strings from Homeworld, are awesome game soundtrack songs, I gotta put an asterisk beside them just because they're not an original score.

I'm going to assume "realistic" shooters are pretty much out of the question here, as the practical applications of wielding two handguns are few if any. It would definitely take some interface evolution to make it workable. Two mice perhaps? But how do you control movement? Foot pedals? I'll...

One of my favourites would have to be the funky beats of Interstate '76. I think I even listened to that a few times when I wasn't playing the game.
